About
I think one of the best things we can do for ourselves is to honor the "little me" inside of us and bring as many of those favorite things forward into our adult lives as we can. For me, nature photography blends together so many places in time where I can honor my family, my love for mother earth, my self love, and my commitment to staying present in the moment. I have such wonderful memories of walking trails like secret passageways where cars couldn't go with my cousins, and beautiful voyages in the Catskill mountains of New York where I summered with my Grandparents, and many days spent on the beaches of Florida where I still call home. But the fondest memory I have is the passion I witnessed in my father, who loved to 'capture' and 'create'. From his tiny dark room in the basement and the smell of chemicals, to his OCD of the door being closed at all times, to the many plastic 35mm film cases all about the place, I have adored and so adopted being on the backside of the camera like him.
